JOY in Our Life: Quickly Now – When Was the Last Time You Complimented the “Unique You”?

A truth has dawned on me. There are ten scripture verses saying to love your neighbour as yourself. Certainly important. Equally important is to love yourself. Unfortunately, an alarming number of people hate or loath themselves so, is it any wonder why the world is such a mess? Christians in particular often put themselves down and refuse to receive compliments and praise because they think that would be prideful. This false humility prevents one from taking JOY in the strengths and gifts God has given. Many even hide these gifts! Take JOY in what God has given to you. I challenge you to compliment yourself at least once a day and to thank God for who the real, unique you are. Love yourself as God loves you. Invest in yourself and enJOY!
