JOY in Our Life: Who Says You Can’t Have Fun, Love and JOY in Church?

Yup – that’s a pulpit and a love hat on a Sunday morning of worship, praise and learning from God’s Word and having a great time together at the same time. Who says you can’t have fun, love and JOY in Church? The general message this month: if you are not gathering with the people of God in a place of worship on a regular and hopefully weekly basis, you are missing out and also shortchanging those who are gathering. No church and no family is perfect. Know that the group experience is powerful and fosters spiritual growth. Period. Those who say they don’t need a “church” because they can worship God anywhere – even in bed, on a hike – usually don’t get around to it. You know how important something is to you by how little or how much it takes to bump it down on the priority list. What are you putting ahead of being part of the big “C” Church, the family of God, and God without whom you are nothing? God alone brings true, lasting, eternal love, peace and JOY.
